B1.4. Maps of Biotic and Abiotic risks (AEMET)

  • Abiotic risks are those relating to the climatic and soil conditions that the crops are exposed to. They act by either limiting the yield potential or the quality of the products obtained and, therefore, their profitability.
  • Biotic risks are basically focussed on cereal diseases, although there are also plans to address some of the most important pests, and also weeds.
